May I turn my ear to the wind
To the art of waging peace
Across seven generations
Beginning with breath
Today is world water day
It interconnects all of us
We carry the water for each other
Waging peace
Is a practice
Embodied
In wholeness
We are
Where we are
This is the work
Welcome
_____________
Habit
Disruption
Is a practice
_____________
Nothing but aloha
Falling apart
Is not a sacrifice in vain
When waged in peace
Peace is not an absence
Of warfare
It is space of vibrant thriving
Habit is violence
Violence inhabits
The binary
Peace disrupts habit
From holeness to
Wholeness
This is the human condition
As whole as it can be
The stance of forward
Movement
On offense
Led with truth
Of heartspace
Waging requires
We carry the arc
Dented
There is mending to be done
Beyond justice
We all have part of story
We know this to be true
Learning and doing
All at the same time
The hour is upon us
At the red dawn
Kuleana
Invites mutuality,
Breaks the binary
Of yours and ours
Across the vastness of time
Mutuality moves us
From other to
One another
I am an
Interaction
With people today
Even the ones
I never meet
I am consequential
In this thriving story
Of repair and reconciliation
This is our Kuleana, our
responsibility
Language is everything
And it fails us often
This is why knowledge
Is just a rumor
Until it is felt in the bones
So say the Asaro Tribe
The wisdom
Is in the room
When we make room
For each other
Nothing but aloha
