The first people
Are the youngest
I am so distant
From being able
To squat
And observe
Yet, how can we
go forward?
Through
Indigeneity
And migration,
Brokenness
And pain
The answer is
We must
Without doubt
Opportunity
Exists in the
Falling apart
No matter what
Our beliefs
Founded
And confounded
Overwhelm us
Until we take
A breath
A hum
Vibrates
Our wholeness
Awake
Without retreat
Nothing
In nature
Is symmetrical
Not even
Its laugh
At our elastic
Imperfections
I am not
Alone
In wanting
In believing
I can
Go forward
_____________
Where in your
Body
Is your question
Arising?
It arises
In the back of my heart
It asks, “why
Am I anxious?”
What do you fear,
heart?
“Am I loved?”
Asked my heart
Do you love, heart?
“Yes,” said my heart.
Then, you are love.
_____________
Circumstances
Can make us
Pause
How do we create
Our own
Circumstances?
Pausing

These words are a practice of listening with the heart. I share them with the spirit of love and in service to peace.
